I promptly checked if there was a solution to removing the utorrentie.exe processes, turns out that's easy, too. I noticed there were two processes named utorrentie.exe running.
I decided to open up task manager to check what sort of CPU and memory usage uTorrent was using. Turns out there's a very simple solution that doesn't involve paying for the Pro version. I opened up the now updated uTorrent, and one of my first reactions was 'how do I get rid of these ridiculous ads?' The program was called ' Adaware Web Protection'Īt no point in the update and installation of uTorrent was there any notification that Adware would be installed, no options to decline, nothing. I used uTorrent's built-in update check, which downloaded version 3.5.5 (46090) - which I checked, isn't the latest version (46096).Īnyway, upon downloading and installing the new uTorrent, I noticed there was a program I'd never seen before running in the system tray. I've been using uTorrent 2.2.1 for as long as I can remember, and I honestly didn't think I'd upgrade any time soon, however, curiosity got the best of me and I decided to check out the latest version.
